On April 1st, 2019 I flew to Royeljoker kennels in PEI to bring back 2 puppies from a very exciting litter of 8, 2 males and 6 females born January 11, 2019, all sables, some very dark sable like their sire Smokey, Royeljoker's Smokin' Hot, a Tama son, or red/sable like their dam Skipper, Ch. Royeljoker's Malibu Skipper, daughter of Tama and Tika's litter sister Sandy, Ch Aotearoa Royeljoker Sand Storm. The pedigree of these puppies has my all time top winning IW Salt, BISS Multi BIS Can. & Am. Ch. Aotearoa Lee Ridge Tote, #1 IW in Canada in 2009, and 3 years in the Top 5 as great grand sire on both sides. These puppies were all gorgeous, but Ataa, Multi BBPIS X 3, Royeljoker Aotearoa Ataahua, a dark sable female stood out as my first choice. Her name in Maori means "symbol of prestige, beauty, and uniqueness" which she has indeed already proved herself to be.
At her very first Championship show in Arnprior, Ontario, Ataa won Best Baby Puppy In Show just 4 months, and throughout the Summer of 2019 won 3 BBPIS and many BBPIG. I am looking forward to the 2020 show season showing her as a young adult.
